The God Who Can

What is seen was not made out of what was seen.
By faith I understand the universe was made
At my God’s command.

I can’t take nothing and make something,
For that power is not within me.
No, I can’t take nothing and make something, but,
I’m a child of the God who can.

I can’t take away your sins.
I can’t wash you white as snow.
I can’t even make me righteous, but,
I’m a child of the God who can.

And I am going to heaven
Because Jesus paid the price.
Although I can’t draw you a map to follow,
I’m a child of the God who has.

Now faith is being sure of what I hope for
And certain of what I do not see.
By faith I understand the universe was made
At my God’s command.

What is seen was not made out what was seen.
By faith I understand the universe was made
At my God’s command.

I can’t take nothing and make something.
I can’t take away our sins.
I can’t take us to heaven, but,
I’m a child of the God who can.
Yes, I’m a child of the God who can
