Read our Bibles
If we would only read our Bibles
And about the one so dear
If we would only trust Him
Our fears would disappear.
And in it’s place we would always see
His loving face so near.
Jesus wanted all to love Him,
Both the young ones and the old.
And some of the most beautiful stories
In the Bible they are told.
Would we do as Jesus did
To save our fellow man?
Or would we pass them by and say,
“Do the best you can.”
Jesus didn’t mean for us to die
On Calvary Cross you see.
He died a long, long time ago
To save both you and me.
And if our neighbors seem to have things better
And some of them should laugh or sneet
Just say to them, “My brothers,
I’m building a better place up there.”
Someday I’ll be with my Savior
And I won’t have a worry or a care.
For I know I’ve sent material for
My Heavenly Home up there.
